Lindsay Gorton, Vice President and Treasurer

Lindsay was born in 1979 in Falmouth, Massachusetts. She graduated from high school there and then moved to Miami to attend the University of Miami. She graduated with a major in marketing in the summer of 2001. Five months after graduation she began working at her present job for Clean Image Corporation as a marketing representative.

Lindsay's volunteer/community involvement began in January of 1999 when she went to the Volunteer Office at the University of Miami to seek out volunteer work for animal shelters. The Volunteer Office referred her to Pet Rescue where she reported for work the following weekend and has made this a weekly activity for the past three years.

Her volunteer work consists of caring for rescue dogs, rescuing strays, fundraising, and adoption events. All of these activities bring great joy to Lindsay as she remains dedicated to the animals of Pet Rescue.

Lindsay hopes to bring awareness to the community of such issues as responsible pet guardianship, euthanasia and sterilization through Miami Pets Alive. She is also serving as the treasurer of the organization.
